A more composed, interlectual and postive analysis of recent weeks

Well the last couple of weeks have heralded some very poor results, that is clear for anyone to notice. Its easy to look back in hindsight and say 'this should have been dealt with in the summer' but at that point in time it could have still ended up as Wenger's greatest and most productive gamble. I'm on about the midfield if you didn't already know and it is concerning many many Arsenal fans, Cesc is looking miserable, Denilson does not complement him and whilst he hasn't done a bad job by any means, the balance is not there. Wenger may just buy in January, but who i don't know.

The most concerning thing of all is the sheer lack of pace, last season we were making quick slick passes, at the moment it is pedestrian level and the players just cannot seem to speed it up. Walcott is our most dangerous player at the moment and has been all season, maybe we will see Traore making a re-appearance come January? We are just lacking that ever present threat of speed that Theo has.

For this stage of the season and in this form we should be far more than 6 points behind, we are lucky that we are only that far behind and that is encouragement to take into the run up to the festive period, games will be coming thick and fast and we will have to get something out of every one. This team rises to the occasion when it really needs too, we have seen this in Europe and our recent record against United in the league is a very good one, i think the team will raise its level at the weekend. It has no option but to raise the level.

The return of Eduardo has been anticipated for many months now and it is only a week or so off now i feel, the team should make it a catalyst to drive on and as he gains in match fitness i think we will see the goal poaching qualities that have made him a firm fans favourite. The players and fans are dejected but if we give them the optimism, courage and belief that they can do things that no other team on this planet can and get their Adrenalin going again, they can still put in a big title challenge. This is a special team, they can be unbeatable and we as the fans have to back them, however hard it may be. This team can be frustrating but when we show our discontent the players can get nervous and when that happens you will not get the best out of them.

Wengers comments have not helped with the criticism of Stoke etc. Teams will try to rough us up because it has been successful against us, we have to face that, Wenger has to face that. This team can take physicality, there is a certain degree of naivety in the team and that has to be addressed.

Id also like to make the shout of Clichy for captain. I don't think that our best player (Cesc) should be burdened with the pressure of the armband, look at all the great players from recent years, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo. C. Messi... None of those are the regular captain of their side, the pressure is on them enough. Clichy is vocal and never ever gives up. Just the attitude we need.

Our defence is curable, the partnership on Wednesday was very assured and i think Djourou has not put a foot wrong whenever he has been called upon, Toure is a great defender but maybe he needs a decent rest after his ACN exploits last season and his bout of malaria. Silvestre is a type of defender that complements fast agile defenders of the Toure mould, Gallas is just....Gallas.This club is a great club, the players are amazingly gifted and with a little more encouragement they can turn the recent struggles around to establish ourselves as the title challenging team we are. Look at the badge on your Arsenal shirt and remember what the feeling of winning a trophy is, want it and encourage the team towards it because I'm sure this season we will get a trophy, its just a case of what one.

Believe Gooners.

Id also like to ask if any readers have any idea how good oleole is for blogging as I'm looking to improve and jump ship to a better blogging service. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Feel free to leave a comment or contact me via the e-mail on the right hand side.

For now Gooners, take care.

What the (insert expletive) is this?

Hopeless, about as toothless as a 94 year old who has lost their dentures, about as fast too.

What is going on Arsene? you are losing your fans left right and center, i am disgusted with what i have just seen.

At least our defence looks better, Fabregas was shite, Bendtner was worse and Nasri was appalling.

We are great at passing it backwards, we want it to go forwards, and we are crap at that.

Its a joke Arsene, a diabolical joke.

The man of a million questions

Stoke 2 Arsenal 1

Some of the shit we are being subjected too is simply to shit for words. There is no single culprit, its the whole damn lot of them.

We knew what the danger would be, Delap. Did we stop him? did we fuck! I'm livid, Chester bleedin City could have stopped those throw ins, but could a top 4 soon to be bottom 4 side couldn't?

This is disgusting stuff and you just have to ask yourself if there were more English players in the team, would they have shown more passion and given more? Cesc has been shocking this season, Denilson... the jury is out. Adebayor is inconsistent, as is RVP who was a right twat today. Drop him. Fine him and tell him to sort himself out or piss off.

I have to confess i have not seen much of the game but in all the reports there is a distinct message of no passion and grit from these players. Calls for Wenger to go are getting louder and we face Man Utd next without Walcott, Adebayor Van persie and possible Cesc who may have picked up a yellow card. Looks like its Bendtner and Vela then...

I'm stunned.

I really don't know what to say.

Were back to the standard of 2005/06 season, losing most away games.

We need to buy badly in January, and if we don't i think Wenger's position will be in serious threat, we have to get silverware, we have to.

I'm chatting shite here and i know it, I'm disillusioned thats for sure. What do i believe?

Do i believe Wenger when he says that we have massive potential? We have had potential since 2005, that was suppost to be the transition, its the 08/09 season and are we still in transition? or are we just not good enough and do we need a change?

Our midfield tells the story of the whole team, we have 1 world class midfielder, other teams have many more than that. We are lacking the class to take us up a level. Maybe we need a shake up, we are complacent, arrogant and cocky.

At this rate we are not even going to finish in the top four. I know there is a hell of a long way to go but i just cant see things getting any better,

and of course, things are set to get much easier with Man Utd visiting next week.

Will we win? will we fuck!

im talking shite, goodnight.
