O what lovely places we are visiting!

Bolton is one of the worlds most picturesque places. Not.

The squad have already seen the delights of Blackburn, Kiev and are now about to visit the beautiful Bolton. But before i preview the game I'm going to chat a bit about Alex Song, Theo and Denilson.

Alex Song has been earmarked by Wenger to fill in that problem central midfield position, and i think he can do that. He works hard for the team and yes, he does make a few mistakes but he is still very young and doesn't really have much experience so far. When he came off against Kiev we saw how much more vulnerable we were with massive gaps appearing and with Song on the pitch they were not appearing at all. He is powerful and a good runner with the ball, as demonstrated when he played against Blackburn in the Carling Cup last year, he rampaged forward on many occasions leading the commentators on 5Live to describe his runs as 'Beckenbauer like'. Song is also strong in the tackle and i think we will be very important for us this season, i think he will start against Bolton.

Wenger has pretty much said the same of Denilson too, i like Denilson, i think he could be a class player but i do doubt whether his involvement in the team stifles Cesc's influence, he is still very young and if we had more midfield cover i think he may well have gone out on loan in the summer.

Wenger is definitely trying to boost their confidence.

Gallas has also got Wenger's praise;

"He was a striker when he was young and you can see he has the nose to be where you have to be at the right moment. If it is a corner or a deflected goal, William Gallas is there. He has kept something of a striker in him and that comes out in these desperate situations.

"The biggest quality of a striker who scores goals is exceptional skill or through anticipation and understanding where the ball will be. William anticipates and attacks the space.

"His goals can make the difference. I am convinced that in a game like Kiev it was an important goal, because coming back from Kiev with a defeat or with a point, it is a completely different perspective for the Champions League and the game at Bolton."

I do think his goals are very important to us, every team needs a defender that can pop up with goals and without Gallas we don't really have that as Toure will only get one a season and two if he is really lucky. Saying that, without his goal we wouldn't have got the the champions League Final.

Theo Walcott also needs more protection from those ref cunts according to Arsene, i cant help but agree, Ronaldo gets that protection so why shouldnt Walcott? Kicking players isn't football, its violence. Wenger doesn't want special protection for him but wants him to stop being targeted, defenders go for him, not the ball.

Right now, Preview time.

Today we can open up a gap over Chelsea and Man United as they play each other and we just have to take advantage. Bolton is a tricky place for us, we lost there 3 years on the spin recently and last years game showed just how much character we had and this year its another test. They will kick, there is no doubt about that, luckily Diaby isn't playing but i feel we do need Eboue to keep a lid on things and we need our players to give it right back at the cunts and with Song and Eboue i feel we will. I'm not sure about Bendtner starting up front with Adebayor, Van Persie has had some torrid games against Bolton, i think we all remember this comical moment;

That was very funny indeed but he got a kind of revenge with the penalty last season.

Arsene Wenger wants fatigue to be forgotten about because we just have to win;

“It will not be an issue because we don't put that in our brain, You want just to keep the focus as we had it at Blackburn and Kiev then let's get the maximum out of the game.

“When you are a competitor you want competition so you cannot complain when you have that competition and you are tired. This is a fantastic opportunity because when you are a football player you want to play football matches.”

We also had a similar period like this last season and it probably cost us the title;

“Yes at that stage we played four away games on the trot, We lost in Sevilla but after that we won at Aston Villa.
“At Middlesbrough it's true we were a bit jaded physically. But I don't expect that [again]. We had a bad start up there and, of course, when you are a little bit jaded it is harder to get back into your game. So it's important we have a successful start to this game.”

We have Nasri, Sylvester (again, told you so) and Diaby missing along with of course Dudu and Rosicky.

The game is at 5 or something like that, hopefully we will be alright and not do what we did against Fulham. However i am not overly optimistic.

Prediction: Bolton 1 Arsenal 1

I think Elmander has a point to prove for Bolton and i feel we may be on the receiving end, I also fell Adebayor will get another goal.

The reason i will go for the draw is the we have a dodgy defence and Davies will exploit that and also we were not clinical enough against Blackburn (we did score 4 but had many more chances) and Kiev, that was costly.

Depending on time i may do a match analysis later i may not,

Leave me your predictions here, and keep your ideal Eduardo comeback scenario's coming in! look back to yesterdays blog for ideas.

Hill-Wood worried about Arsenal takeover.

Peter Hill-Wood has admitted he is worried about a foreign investor making offers to the clubs shareholders that are too good to resist.

Hill-Wood said;

"If somebody came and made a really huge bid then you cannot recommend shareholders turn it down because we don't like it."

He has a very good point, nobody can force the shareholders not to sell up if they receive a decent offer, and what makes it all the more worrying is in the current financial climate many people are worrying about their financial stability. Hopefully, bastard foreign investors wont take advantage of this.

The board have also agreed to look to extend the lock down agreement that was made last year to stop any potential takeovers by foreign investors. Hopefully this will deter any potential investors but the story about David Dean leaving Fat and Orange does make you worry that Usmanov is lining up another attempt at taking the club over. But, Hill-Wood has stressed that he wants the club to stay the way it is;

"We want the club to stay in its current ownership and, of course, you have some concern that someone will try to buy the club."

He then went on to say that if the price is right you never know what will happen...

"The directors don't want to sell but we are a public company. It depends on the price."

A letter of warning;
Don't fuck with our club you foreign, blood money obsessed, fat, 3 chinned cunts!

Anyways, in some slightly better news, and i say slightly because someone will get injured soon, Theo and Samir got starts last night. Apparently Theo was one of the only bright sparks in a team that can barely beat a bunch of amateurs that don't even get paid to play football!

Its truly disgusting that a team full of multi,multi-millionaires can turn in shit performances time and time again.

Just to draw your attention to the 'Goon's Games' in the Popular sites + blogs section on the Right hand side. It should work at school and work so you don't have to work :)

Anyways i can't really find another story so please leave a comment and have a nice day Goons.

Why are we always in a 'crisis' and Sp*rs not? + News.

Now, a team that loses its first choice left midfielder, one of its greatest ever players, a couple of defenders and its goalkeeper could well be considered to be in a 'crisis'. But for Tottenham its not. Its considered 'building a top 4 team' for some bizarre reason!

I just don't get it. We lost Flamini and Hleb and were all of a sudden in a crisis even though Nasri had signed! Ok, Abebayor's future wasn't exactly clear but does that sound like a crisis? Does is fuck!

The spuds even face losing their best player, that means their two best fucking players will probably leave, that's what i call a crisis! And, add to that 0 points in 2 games isn't the best of starts is it?

I know Arsenal haven't had the best of starts but it takes the slightest thing for this club to be labeled as 'in crisis', i know we are not the most popular club but it is totally ridiculous sometimes. Tottenham are a media favorite, bigging them up, saying how they will break the top 4 but i really don't think they will, they are not good enough. Ok, they beat us 5-1 last year and they played very well, but it was not our strongest team by far! and they are still going on about it!

If anyone is in a crisis, its Tottenham without a shadow of a doubt!

Now, Patrick Vieira has done a great job of pissing people off since he went for a little Italian adventure. He loves sticking his ore into Arsenal's business and having his say; today its no different.

"This season they need to sign a midfield player, a big leader in the middle. Arsene has made good signings over the years and I hope he will find somebody right for the club.

"They may struggle at the crucial moment in the season when they need to win the big games. They have the quality and potential but lack the experience to be competitive in all of the big games."

Now, i think if your good enough you are old enough. We have lots of experience if you look at it, Fabregas has played a lot of games, Rosicky is experienced, Toure and Gallas have experience, Van Persie has experience, CLichy has been around a while now and Sagna has played a good deal of football in France. Adebayor has been to a Champions League final as well.

So, i really do think we have a decent amount of experience. I agree with the leader part though, we really need one.

Update: We host Sheffield Utd in the Carling Cup.

Anyway, not much else today, Newcastle later;

Prediction: I think we can win this 2-1. Newcastle have had a good start to the season and a win today would make it their best ever. They have let Milner go and Obi Martins is out injured. But, Owen is hitting form. The squad is the same as Wednesday night so expect a similar team. I think Walcott will drop out the side and the midfield will be Nasri, Denilson, Fabregas, Eboue.

But, i may be wrong.

Lets just hope for a better result than last weekend!

We dont want you to spend 40 million Arsene!!

We just want a couple of proven quality players in midfield. Now we all think we could manage Arsenal in our own right and if i managed Arsenal i would buy Cana and Alonso. But, im not the Arsenal manager and we will probably get neither player!

Arsene said at his press conference;
“There are no names and there is no news,”

“We do not have to worry about too many other players. I believe we have the needed squad and a strong squad. "

Im sorry Arsene but we do not have the needed squad, if Fabregas gets injured again we are in the shitter, who can replace him? nobody. Who can even partially replace him? nobody. No, not even Eboue!

Sorry, but this is starting to get a little fustrating!

Arsene also said;

“I do not know why we are always under pressure to buy £30 or £40m players,”

Arsene you are not under pressure to always buy those sort of players. The real fans want players the calabre of Sagna and Eduardo, who were bought for about 3 - 8 million, i dont want to risk the clubs long term future for some brazillian nob thats more interested in shagging birds than playing football.

I can understand letting one of Hoyte or Senderos go. But, i feel we really lack a couple of players that are prepared to sit on the bench and wait for their 5-6 games a year, players like Brown (before last season), Fletcher and O'Shea. They are not bad players to come in in an emergency. Chelsea, they have a depth of world class players.

Lampard is injured? Oh well, lets give Ballack a run out.
Terry's dead? Oh no, better get Alex ready to play.

See what i mean? who replaces Fabregas?

Denilson? - not good enough

Diaby? - will be on his sickbead

Ramsey? - hes barely old enough to spout pubes!

Wilshere? - he will have to leave halfway through to be home for tea.
Come on Wenger, its clear we need Midfielders!

Now ahead to tonights game. I think we will line up similar to the weekend, with Fabregas possibly coming in.

Prediction: I think we will win, but the result will flatter our performance. A 2 or 3 nil win is probably on the cards but what we need to do is play well and give them a big kaning. Sadly though, it will probably not happen. We will go through with something to spare though.

Final score: il push the boat out and go 3-0. Van Persie to grab one with Adebayor and Walcott getting the others.

I will be back sometime tomorrow (not before 6pm) as i will probably still be pissed from tonights exploits.
